Travelling to the Tegelbergbahn

Travelling to the Tegelbergbahn is uncomplicated and environmentally friendly. From Füssen railway station, bus no. 78 will take you directly to the valley station in Schwangau in around 15 minutes. From there, the Tegelbergbahn cable car takes you comfortably to the summit. If you are travelling by train from Munich or Augsburg, we recommend travelling to Füssen by train and then taking the bus to the Tegelbergbahn.

Best time to visit and season tips

The Tegelberg is worth a visit at any time of year. In spring and summer, the blossoming meadows and clear views are enticing. Autumn offers a particularly picturesque backdrop with its colourful deciduous forests. And the Tegelberg is also worth a visit in winter, as the snow-covered Alps offer a magical sight. Please note that it can get particularly crowded in the high season and at weekends - those who arrive early often enjoy the mountain more quietly.
