This medium-difficulty half-day tour leads through the Grainberg-Kalbenstein-Saupurzel nature reserve, which begins east of Karlstadt and stretches all the way to Gambach.
A highlight of this hike is the wide panoramic view from the Edelweiss over the Main valley. On the geological nature trail, you will learn more about what you see and what you are walking on. And about the mastodonsaurus, the largest amphibian species in the history of the earth, which was found here.
